Hello everyone, welcome to my blog. I am Shania Wollaston a second year student of the Northern Caribbean University pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice This blog, titled "Ethical Issues within the Criminal Justice System in Jamaica," is a part of my course work for the course CJUS242 Ethics and Jurisprudence, which focuses on the ethical principles and legal parameters that bind the activities of workers within the criminal justice system, and is explored to derive a full understanding of the interrelated responsibilities, general roles, functions, and practice that are required for proper conduct. Within the Criminal Justice System, there are three branches, which are: Law Enforcement, the Courts, and Corrections. Within this blog, each branch of the criminal justice system will be evaluated and the ethical issues that exist will be discussed with the appropriate acts and ethical guidelines enacted by the Government of Jamaica to guide the discussion and evaluate how this situation could have had a different outcome. In Jamaica, we hear daily of ethical issues in the justice system that illustrate to us that our justice system is not entirely adequate. I will post weekly blogs on ethical issues in the criminal justice system that will be engaging, informative, and knowledge-based. Do not forget to leave a like, comment and share my blog posts. Stay Bless!! Stay tuned!!
looking forward to learn a lot from your blogs
